AI is improving fast. And yes, some jobs are disappearing because of A.I. Some repetitive tasks are getting partially or fully automated, and those having low skill sets are at the risk of being replaced. Many may ponder on the future of AI. Will A.I become so advanced that no job will be needed?
The answer is, it may be possible, but we are still a long way off, at least till someone introduces the first real AGI.
The release of AGI is a topic of another debate, and the transition won’t happen overnight. History shows us that every technological revolution, from the Industrial Revolution to the rise of the internet, has displaced some jobs while creating new ones. The key lies in reskilling and upskilling the workforce to prepare for this inevitable shift. For this article, we have listed 5 new jobs that are currently emerging due to advancements in AI and are expected to grow in demand over the coming years. These roles not only reflect the shifting job landscape but also highlight opportunities for those willing to adapt and embrace change.
1. AI Personality Designer:
Remember that movie “Her”? Well, that movie is no longer science fiction. How the Joker..I am sorry, Theodore falls in love with an AI assistant? Well imagine designing an AI personality like that one so deeply intuitive, charming, and emotionally intelligent that it feels almost human. Not just a cold, mechanical voice responding to commands, but a companion, someone who learns your quirks, understands your moods, and grows alongside you. What if an AI could tell when you’re feeling down and crack the perfect joke? Or remember the little things, like your favorite song on rainy days? The challenge isn’t just in programming responses but in crafting an experience that feels organic, unpredictable in just the right ways, and deeply personal.
2.AI Ethics Officer:
Somebody has to monitor, because AI can generate anything. And by anything, I mean anything, both the good and the bad, the helpful and the harmful. Without oversight, it could create misinformation, biased outputs, or even unethical content that could have real-world consequences. An AI Ethics Officer ensures that AI remains a tool for progress rather than harm, guiding its development with responsibility, fairness, and accountability in mind. For example, without ethical oversight, an AI-powered news generator could fabricate false headlines, spread misinformation, or a hiring algorithm might unintentionally favor certain demographics, leading to discrimination.
3.AI Input and Output Manager:
To regulate AI, the AI Input and Output Manager is essential. He is responsible for overseeing the data fed into Generative AI for learning and ensuring control over the generated outputs. His role is to keep everything within safe boundaries, preventing privacy breaches, copyright violations, and bias, ensuring the AI remains fair and responsible.
4.Generative Design Specialist:
Have you ever spent hours scrolling through Freepik or Envato, searching for the perfect stock video or photo for your designs? Sucks! Doesn’t it?
This is especially the case when you design social media ads or add visuals to your web or app projects. But that’s no longer an issue. With a bit of prompt engineering, you can generate the perfect photo or video in minutes.
That’s where a Generative Design Specialist comes in. These experts craft precise prompts to create high-quality graphic images, videos, and product designs, which are then refined by humans, saving time and streamlining the creative process.
5.AI Content Reviewer:
The AI Content Reviewer makes sure all AI-generated stuff, whether it’s articles, images, or analysis, actually makes sense and stays within safe, ethical limits. They check for accuracy, quality, and appropriateness so nothing weird, biased, or misleading slips through.
Fun fact? I wrote this article myself, but had AI give it a quick review. Guess we make a solid team!
Conclusion:
No one is going to replace you, you just have to adapt, that’s it! Every generation has faced the same fears. People worried when the Industrial Revolution began, thinking machines would take over their jobs. The same thing happened when the internet became widely available, many feared it would render them obsolete. But those who embraced change thrived. It’s no different today. Adapt, learn, and grow with technology, and you’ll always stay ahead.
